Hello. I’m Shauna, founder and designer of THIS IS THE PLACE. It's nice to meet you.
Design can be affordable. I have always been thrifty and budget savvy and I specialize in revamping spaces with reclaimed and recycled materials while also implementing high quality goods into designs.
Design, decor and building have been my passion since childhood and real estate has been a part of my adulthood. Pairing these two has given me an edge on other designers. Viewing countless homes has allowed me to understand space flow and connectivity. I also utilize my background knowledge as a real estate appraiser, to implement changes to your space which increase the equity in your home.
I have an openminded approach and enter each space without preconceived ideas, to allow a full understanding of my clients’ needs. Each person envisions their space differently and my job is to interpret that and make your thoughts come to life.
